AVA Media: the Afghanistan Journalist Center says, that the local officials of the Taliban in khost province have arrested representative of three local radio stations in this province, in charges of “publishing music” and “making phone calls to female listener”.

In a statement of on (April 24, 2024) the Afghanistan Journalist Center expressed concern over detention of these media workers, and called for their immediate and unconditioned release.

In addition, this organization said, Ismail Saadat, a reporter of radio Naz, Wahidallah Masoum, a reporter of radio Aqra, and Ehsanullah Tasol, a reporter of Sadaie-Mardom (the voice of people’s radio) were summoned and arrested around 10A.M.

According to the center, the three journalist were transformed to the Taliban security command in khost province from 1:30 P.M. and that same day and have detained ever since.

After the Taliban regained the power publishing music on media and banned across the country. But the ban of women and girls from contacting the media is a new issue that was implemented to the group’s security chief this year. The Taliban continue to the arbitrarily detain journalist after coming power.
